R. Lee Linebarger

gray colored male silholetteR. Lee Linebarger is a retired Soldier, with over 22 years of service, retiring in 2009 at the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and grew up in East Point Georgia and Hixson Tennessee, before joining the army in 1987. He is married to the former Miss Julie M. Hatcher of Chattanooga Tennessee. They have two children by birth and many “adopted kids”, all of which they are very proud. R. Lee was encouraged at an early age to be creative through the influences of his mother, and inspired by his father to become a Soldier and Paratrooper. His military assignments have taken him to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the Federal Republic of Germany, Martinsville Virginia. He served as a communications specialist and field artilleryman. He is a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Some of his awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge and Gold Recruiters Badge.
