Deborah Dunn

Deborah Dunn is a licensed therapist in private practice living near Raleigh, NC. After years of writing Christian self-help books on marriage for Simon and Schuster and over five hundred deployments to corporate critical incidents such as accidents, murders, robberies and suicides, she decided to slow down her practice and write fiction, particularly murder mysteries that would draw upon her love of early colonial history, archaeology,  and her knowledge of the criminal mind, traumatic stress, and the impact on its victims.

Her first novel, The Coffins, tells the story of Andrea Warren, a young archaeologist searching for old coffins in the swamps of Dare County discovered by her father in 1985, just days before he committed suicide. Local legend claims the coffins may have belonged to remnants of the Lost Colony. She is currently working on the sequel, The Vessel.
