Avie Banks
Avie Banks’ book, Ninety-Five Days in the NICU, is a follow up to her daily blog that recounted her experiences after having her second premature child. In the book, she narrates the 95-day journey in Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through her micro-preemie son’s eyes. Her son, Clayton, was born five month early; he weighed less than two pounds. The book puts readers in the NICU with Clayton as he meets his father, encounters complications, and finally goes home. Banks has worked in the clinical research industry for almost fifteen years conducting conference trainings and leading major groundbreaking research trials.
